Adam Laraway , PT, MSPT, CHC, Owner/Physical Therapist
Adam Laraway is the founder and owner of Focus Physical Therapy. He holds a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Pacific University, OR., and is head Physical Therapist at Focus PT. Although his degree, credentials, and experiences are standard to the industry, his treatment philosophy and patient care is not. Adam is well known for his talent and skills in cultivating relationships, truly listening to his patients, establishing collaborative care, educating and empowering patients, achieving patient goals, and restoring patient health, functioning, and abilities.
Prior to opening Focus Physical Therapy, Adam was co-owner of a successful private practice clinic in Antelope Valley specializing in orthopedic conditions. After 20 years of working for others, Adam decided to open Focus Physical Therapy to offer tailored one-on-one patient centered-care. In 2019, Adam obtained training on new cutting edge electric stimulation technologies, as well as obtained certification through NSHC as a Certified Health Coach.
Adam knows when people experience illness, accident or injury it’s not uncommon for life to feel as though it’s unraveling. This is why his Physical Therapy treatment is founded on collaborating with his patients to create achievable treatment plans, address patient concerns and barriers, and collaborate with additional medical providers when necessary. In addition, Adam believes in a strong mind-body connection, and respects the value of the “whole” system in improving overall health, well-being and state of mind.
Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest in a physically active family, Adam has had a longstanding love of the outdoors, sports, and physical activity. He is a life-long athlete, who enjoys baseball, cycling, weight-lifting, hiking with his wife and 2 daughters, and soaking in the glorious California sunshine. Adam’s faith and family are his foundation and basis for all that he does, in and out of the clinic.
